Ace’s Story

Mulligan’s Lagoon was discovered in 1954 by a big-hearted surfer looking to find his paradise, complete with the gnarliest waves, tastiest pizza pies and challenging putting greens. Ace Mulligan stumbled upon the island and immediately made the surf spot his home. He built himself a beach shack and perfected his coastal haven with a pizza restaurant and miniature golf course. Welcome to Mulligan’s Lagoon!

The legend of Ace Mulligan, a tale as multifaceted as the waves he rode, is shrouded in mystery. Some say he’s an ex-pro golfer seeking peace, others whisper he might be an ex-treasure hunter searching for bounty beneath the waves, a philosophy professor looking to spread his theories and love for pizza and putt putt, or even a discoverer of the fountain of youth in 1928 which will keep him eternally shredding.

In 1955, after establishing Mulligan’s Lagoon, Ace stumbled upon an abandoned Beach 18 airplane. With just a few coconuts to bang out dents, Ace was able to get the old gal flying again. Ace Airways took flight a year later. Ace conveniently omits the fact that he has zero experience with engineering aircraft when piloting guest to and from the island.

Ace’s culinary masterpiece, however, lay in his pizza parlor, where only the freshest local ingredients adorned his favorite dish – pizza. The interplay of tart pizza sauce, creamy cheese, and a myriad of toppings mirror the intricate balance he finds in both miniature golf and the ocean.

When Ace isn’t sinking putts or riding waves, he revels in the simple pleasures, perched at the bar, sinking his teeth into a slice, and savoring the moment with an ice-cold beer.
